Angling Centre Callander

James Bayne Fishing Tackle is a retail outlet in the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs national park situated in Callander. The shop has been catering for all the fishing needs of the locals and tourist since 1938. We have a team of friendly experienced guides and ghillies with special and intimate knowledge of the area.

If you are interested in fishing then you have come to the right place. We have access to a huge amount of water - check out our local fishing section. We provide fishing permits for all the local waters for Salmon, Sea Trout, Brown trout and coarse fishing including Pike, Perch Grayling and Artic Char.

We can cater for all of your fishing bait needs. We stock live and dead bait including worms, maggots, power bait and Pike bait all of which can be reserved if you contact us. We hire equipment such as rods and reels. We also keep a large stock of wet and dry flies, trout flies, salmon flies, sea trout flies and pike flies.

We at James Baynes will strive to make your experience of the Trossachs a fun filled exciting and relaxing time, whether you want to go hill walking, stalking or fishing.

Skinners and Glovers

Roger Drapper (owner) is the convenor of fishing for the incorporation of Skinners and Glovers of the Trades House of Glasgow. This was formed in the year 1516.

Roger Drapper has also been president and secretary of The Western Angling Club which began in 1879. This has been a trait and family tradition dating back several generations.
